Welcome to the 10th edition of the ‘St Peter’s Post’ and it’s absolutely packed! This week saw ‘Write A Book’ in full swing, the Virtual Science Fair continued and there were a number of fantastic podcasts. It was also a very busy week for comments on the blog – students and teachers loved reading every single one! Has it only been 5 days since Monday?? After all the excitement of the Christmas play and the wonderful chaos of December, it’s been lovely to get back to a bit of routine this week. We’re delighted to have all our students back and that they were well-rested and happy to come back to school!  

Busy, busy times in St Peter’s! Mr Curran has been in this week sticking up our Christmas lights. The backdrop for the play has been drawn out and the painting has started. The many tubs of costumes have been taken out and lists of props have been drawn up. Actions to the songs have been learned and the lines run like clockwork. The class teachers have taken on a slightly frantic look at mention of class plays and sing the Cinderella songs in the staffroom without realising! Big news this week on the blog! It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! The countdown has officially begun and we’re all getting very excited. Here’s a taster of what’s been going on in St. Peter’s in the week’s headlines: Second class have had a very special visitor this week! Polly the Polar Bear arrived on Tuesday and you can watch a very excited second class explain her unexpected entrance here. Mini-Scientist was top of the talked-about list in the senior classes! The date has been changed to Wednesday 4th December – you can help your child to prepare for talking to the judges... 

A quiet week on the blog this week, but certainly not a quiet week in St Peter’s. We’ve lots coming up in the next few weeks and this week was definitely a preparation week – lots of singing, science and sketches. That’s not to say that we don’t have plenty of news for you – if you missed anything during the week, you’ve come to the right place! This week has been Science Week around the country!
