During the first term, our students from 4th, 5th and 6th classes worked really hard to prepare science projects for the Intel Mini-Scientist showcase. For all who didn’t get a chance to see the projects on the day, we have decided to hold our very first Virtual Science Show. Over the next month, we’re going to showcase our projects as part of our participation in the Discover Primary Science Award. We look forward to telling you all about our projects and reading your comments. Watch out for guest appearances from 2nd and 3rd, who were too young for the Mini-Scientist Showcase this...

Hello bloggers. On Wednesday the 4th of December there was a Science Fair in our school. 4th, 5th, and 6th class had to do Science projects, but sadly 2nd and 3rd couldn’t join the Fair. Finally the big day arrived. Two judges came around looking at our projects. The bird group from our class won the runners-up prize. Tommy, Dylan M, and Mason were in the group. All of them got a winner’s prize bag. Everybody who took part in the Science Fair got a goody bag. By Jack J, Abhishek, Alan and Dylan W

This week in Fourth Class the answer has been revealed. The answer is Santa Claus. There are 63 questions up so far. Most of the questions are from our class. We think somebody might already have got the question correct. A boy from our class got the question last time. He was the only one. We know this new answer but do you know the question?? Hi bloggers. Today’s post is about the Hallelujah Choir. Last Thursday we went to Citywest in Dublin and sang in the Hallelujah Choir. At half past one we got on the bus but Jordan went in by car. He collected food for us all on the way. We checked in and we had to rehearse for the choir. After the rehearsal we got our dinner. The doors opened at 6:30pm and over 3,000 parents watched us sing and dance. It was over at 9pm. When we got collected it was 10pm. Everyone had fun. The next day we could come in at 11am because we were at the Choir. It was a great event. By Carl, Tommy and Jordan

Everybody has been extremely hardworking and busy getting ready for Christmas. We have been working real hard on the Christmas Plays. I think the plays are going to be better than last year. It has been one and a half weeks and all our class know our lines. The School Play still needs some work but we’ve loads of time. Mr. Curran came in and helped with our Christmas decorations. I hope you like the Christmas Play. The School Play is on the 19th of December at 11:30 am and 7pm. By Jack B and Luke

On Thursday night, Singing Club showed off all their hard work from the first term at the Hallelujah Choir Concert in CityWest Hotel. 24 boys and girls travelled on a bus for an afternoon of rehearsals and practice. The concert kicked off at 8pm and we were delighted to see plenty of familiar faces in the audience! The St Peter’s group were the life and soul of the party – even starting dance moves in the crowd. Special guests at the concert included Seo Linn, who during the Summer teamed up with Lurgan for their take on ‘Wake Me Up’, Connie Talbot and Tabby Callaghan. We...

Hello bloggers, this is 4th class. It’s coming close to Christmas and we’ve been busy over the past few weeks getting ready. In class we each designed our own Christmas card (Mr. Foley also did one). We started practicing our Class Christmas Play, but sorry we can’t tell you what we’re doing it on, it’s a surprise! We have also been practicing our songs for the School Christmas Play in the library with every class. Before we went up to the library we practiced them in our classroom. The lines for the Christmas Play were given out yesterday for the people who wanted...

Yesterday afternoon, the correct question was revealed. We knew that the answer was New York. After 54 guesses, Ryan in our class was the first and only pupil in the whole school to get it correct! The question was “Where are the Jets from?”. The clue we got on Monday was that Kayden in 2nd Class was wearing their football gear as a Halloween costume. The next answer will be up on Monday. The question is, do YOU know the question….! By Calvin, Abhishek, Jack B, Luke, Jack J, Stephen, Mason, Dylan M.

Hello bloggers, last week our class finished our third novel this year. It is called “Rover Saves Christmas” by Roddy Doyle. It is really funny. We did an interview about and recorded it as a podcast. We used soundcloud to record the podcast. We used the iPad to record our voices. We wrote questions in our English copy to see who had the best questions for the interview. Jack Barsoum interviewed the whole class (He did a great job! – Mr. Foley). Our voices seemed to sound different. This is because our voice vibrates through our skull so we don’t hear our voices like other...

The Bray Lions Club and The Paws Project held another peace poster competition. There were around two-hundred and forty entrants. I was really lucky to be chosen as one of the ten winners. Last night, myself, my Dad and Ms. Whyte went up to St. Cronan’s B.N.S. to collect my prize. My Dad and Ms. Whyte were really proud of me. It was a great night and my Dad bought me a tub of ice-cream and Pringles to celebrate! By Patryk Ostapczuk The Peter’s staff and student body would like to congratulate Patryk on such a fantastic achievement. A special word of thanks to Ms. Whyte, Patryk’s teacher!
