We were delighted to welcome Neil from the Digital Schools of Distinction Awards to our school today.
He came to speak to staff and students about our use of ICT methods and resources. He looked at the resources we have, and how we use them. He spoke to staff and students about stop-motion animation, podcasting, blogging, Twitter, Scratch and the use of our interactive whiteboards. He was also interested to know how staff use technology in running our school. It was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on the great work our students have undertaken over the past few years.
It would be a great honour to be a recipient of the Digital Schools Award, especially because only two other schools in Wicklow have received this award. We hope to find out soon if we were successful. Thanks to Neil and his colleagues for being so encouraging. We were delighted to welcome you to St. Peter’s!
