So, it’s been a busy week on the blog this week! If you missed anything, you’ve come to the right place!

- Second class began their Irish dancing classes in the hall – their video showing off their steps can be found here
- Third class received lots of compliments for their beautiful reading corner here
- Fourth class celebrated their fantastic attendance here
- Fifth and sixth created a post about their peace posters for Bray Lions Club here

- Third told us all about their work on poetry and learning to tell the time
- The student council had a meeting this week and uploaded a podcast of their plans here – Ian tweeted about the meeting for the school account
- Michelle began her after-school club on Monday and then came back on Tuesday to run an art club with Greg – you can read all about here
- Ms Brennan presented at the CESImeet last week about our use of conferencing – she did a great job and raised awareness of the fantastic work being done in St Peter’s with podcasting

- Ms Hyland’s class made pizza on Friday – yum!
- Fifth class took part in the Bray Drugs Awareness art competition this week!
- Mr Foley put up a notice board to track attendance in the school
- Ms Sexton took part in training so that we can take part in the Write a Book project later this year – sounds exciting!
- Sam and Patryk from sixth learned how to use Animoto and Voki this week.
- We welcomed Ms Kane to the school. Ms Kane will be on teaching practice in the school in the month of November.
- Computer Club began this week with second and third class, with the group learning to use the blog and leave comments. Next week, we begin Scratch!
- Singing Club took place on Thursday as usual, with a huge group of new members! We started learning the songs for the Hallelujah Choir concert
- Well done to Codie and Caoilynn from second class, who have been putting their new found commenting skills to good use this week!
- Tommy was in on Friday to train our classes in Gaelic football – we wish his granny the very best in her MMA tournament this weekend 😉
- Paddy has been running trials all week for the cross-country event taking place in Arklow on Tuesday – teams to be announced on Monday!
- Fifth class received their crocus bulbs from the Holocaust Education Trust. These will be planted soon so that every year when they bloom, we remember all the children affected by the Holocaust. Fifth class are currently reading Boy in the Striped Pyjamas so this is a very good activity in response to the novel.
- Second class had their first ‘Do this in memory’ Mass last Sunday in preparation for First Holy Communion next year. Ms Brennan was really proud of their participation. Well done!
Coming up:
- Next week is Maths Week – we’re really looking forward to a variety of activities and we think the boys and girls will really enjoyed what we have planned!
- Fourth, fifth and sixth class have registered for Intel Mini-Scientist – lots of excited ideas in fifth class so far and lots of plans to blow things up! We’re planning to work on safer project ideas next week 🙂
